Kisaan (2009) Movie -reviews,Story,wallpapers,Events and Download
This movie has focussed more on violence, revenge and many other aspects rather than sticking to the problems faced by the poor farmers in the villages of India. It was only in the begining that they actually showed about a farmer's love for his land and the concept of motherland but later it became more of a family drama and fighting against a villian.
Humor and entertainment were the two things it was lacking.
It's about a farmer Dayal Singh (Jackie Shroff)and his two sons Aman (Arbaaz Khan) and Jigar (Sohail Khan). Dayal who worships his land, decides to send one of his sons to the city for education with a dream of making him a lawyer so that no one can cheat the uneducated farmers in their village.
After his lawyer son returns home from the city, he finds that there is a big industrialist Sohan Seth (Dalip Tahil), who is trying to convince the farmers to sell their land. Aman tells the farmers that no one can force them and briefs them about their legal rights. This leads to a fight between the Dayal family and some local guys who are also part of Sohan's gang.
Sohan then tries to break the unity in the family and offers the educated son a lot of opportunities and seperates him from his family.
This movie was a complete Punjabi masala. Jackie Shroff looked perfect for his role and even Sohail was outstanding. Priya (Dia Mirza) was cast opposite Arbaaz and Titli (Nauheed Cyrusi) with Sohail. Dia looked very pretty and looked good with Arbaaz. Some of the aspects of the movie were left incomplete therefore did not show a clear understanding like for instance there were appearances by some characters which went unexplained.
If you want to see something diffrent but bad, then you should surely go and watch it.
Ratings: 2.5/5
