Lakshmipathi Raju (Rao Ramesh) is a retired army major who lives with his extended family at Rajolu. He is extremely particular about the choice of bridegroom for his daughter Kavya (Saranya Mohan). He rejects a lot of proposals brought forward by his lawyer friend Bhaskaram (Yendamuri Veerendranath).

Kavya who is a medico falls in love with Karthik (Krishnudu) who is a kindergarten teacher. She tells everything about him to her family members except the fact that he is fat. Meanwhile Karthik enters the village trying to sort out the things by himself. On the other hand Lakshmipathi Raju brings Bharat (Dr.Bharat Reddy) an army officer as a prospective groom...

How Lakshmipathi reacts to Karthik? What strategies does Karthik follow to score brownie points with the family? Etc.. forms the rest of the story.

.::Artist’s Performance::.

Krishnudu did a extended role from ‘Vinayakudu’. His role once again attempts at gaining audience sympathy using obese factor.

Saranya Mohan is kiddish and cute. Her’s is a typical girl next door role.

Rao Ramesh just about manages to be convincing in a Prakash raj type of role.Yendamuri Veerandranath acted with ease as if he was seasoned artist.

Lot of new faces were seen as heroine’s relatives and they did well.Bharat Reddy played a disciplined army officer.

.::Technical Details::.

Just like he tried to portray corporate work culture in Vinayakudu, Saikiran Adivi tried his hand at serene village culture but the script has similarities with the recently released Aakasamantha and neither Rao Ramesh nor Saranya are of the caliber of Prakash Raj and Trisha.

The first two songs of the movie were excellent and the rest too were pleasing. Manikanth Kadri scores another musical hit.

Cinematography by Rams (Ramana Salwa) was classic but since most of the film was shot in a resort rather than a village it appeared like ‘Resort lo Vinayakudu’. With Krishnudu around there is not much need for choreograohy and fights.

.::Super Verdict::.

Village Lo Vinayakudu is a lesser fare compared to its prequel Vinayakudu. And the similarity with Aakasamantha will do it no good.But the film does have its funny moments.

* The most part of the film was shot in APTDC Resort, Dindi , East Godavari.
* Director Sai Kiran earlier worked with Sekhar kammula as an associate director.
* Saranya Mohan entered Tollywood with this movie. She played swathi’s role in Tamil version of AMAV.
* Manikanth Kadri’s music is a runaway success. His debut movie was Avakai Biryani.
* Rams who is the cinematographer has also written the dialogues and is the executive producer too. Mahi who contributed the story is also the producer
