Riteish Deshmukh, best known for his comic antics on the big screen, will be seen as an angry young man in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming film Rann.Sources inform us that the 31-year-old actor, who plays an investigative journalist in the movie, was so engrossed in the character that he wore a serious and angry look all day while shooting for the film.

“I had to have the serious look to get into the skin of Purab Shastri’s character who works for Vijay Harshvardhan Malik’s (Bachchan) news channel. Even when the camera was not rolling I would maintain the serious and angry expression and never smiled since the character was not meant to be jovial,” he said.

Riteish can’t wait for the movie, in which he will be seen sharing screen space with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Gul Panag, Rajat Kapoor and Kannada actor Sudeep. The movie is set to hit the theatres on January 22.
