Manirathnam chooses Samantha

After the success of her first movie Ee Maya Chesave with Naga Chaitanya, offers have begun to pour in for this actress later followed by the grand success of Dookudushe has now become one of the busiest actress in Tollywood. News is that she now has grabbed a lead role in one of Mani Rathnam’s upcoming Tamil movie given the name ‘Pookadai’.

There was news that previously Kamal Hassan’s second daughter Akshara Hassan or Radha’s Second daughter Thulasi is being considered for this role in this project. But now the news about Samantha being the female lead in this movie has been confirmed, while there are others who gossip that the lady has signed a contract for this project before a month.

The male lead in this movie is none other than the yesteryear’s actor Karthik’s son Gautam and Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna also plays an important role in the movie. The film is to go on sets by the end of the month where the film will start shooting in a fishing village in south of Tamil Nadu. The plot of the movie is also revealed to be of love story which also includes terrorism backdrop.
