UTV did not contact Naga Chaitanya!
Two days after a leading newspaper has reported that UTV South has been talking with Naga Chaitanya offering him a lead role in the remake of Delhi Belly, Head of UTV Motion Pictures (south) Dhananjayan Govind has declined this news.
Further stating Govind also has informed that they are surely going ahead with the plans to remake Delhi Belly which has been nominated for 20 Annual screen rewards which is a record in itself. However, they have not yet approached any artists. Govind also requested people not to believe any of the rumors which include naming of leading artists who will work in Delhi Belly and they have not been contacted yet to consult if they will work in the project.
It was earlier reported that Jayam Ravi and Naga Chaitanya will work together on this project under the direction of Kannan. Well, this statement from Govind drops curtain on the suspense and enthusiasm created by the rumors however it might have turned out to be an interesting combination.
We just have to wait and see what UTV has in store about Telugu and Tamil remakes of Delhi Belly.
